Hi all!
My name is Laura and I am a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina. By recently moving home I am definitely in the in-between phase of college life and the real world. I’ll be the first to tell you I still have not a clue of what career path I want to go down. I think this time in life is a confusing one to say the least. To give you a little backdrop on myself, I majored in psychology with a minor in business. I always knew I wanted to help others but I wasn’t sure in which way exactly, I’m honestly still not totally sure, and I’ve learned that that’s okay! I have been an athlete and dancer all my life but it wasn’t until a little over two years ago that I took my first indoor cycling, or “spin” class. I walked out, instantly becoming obsessed, and I came home knowing that was something I 100% wanted to teach in the future. A few months go by and I became a certified spin instructor and was taking the stage instructing at a local studio in Columbia, right outside the USC campus. Bang. I found my passion. Fitness is something I hold dear to my heart. It has engulfed my life in the best way possible. With this, I became obsessed with eating well. Slowly but surely I went from eating college junk, to meal prepping and what I like to call “only eating out of the fridge”. I used to make fun of my dad who constantly said “it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle”, but now it is truly a phrase I live by. Now LETS.BE.REAL. another phrase I live by is “life is all about balance”. I’m an adventure seeker, tequila enthusiast and just about the biggest sweet tooth you’ll ever meet. I have maybe on the biggest obsessions of the ocean which with summer approaching, you’ll probably learn quickly. So this is me, just your average 22 year old trying to navigate thru this may I say UTTERLY confusing post grad life, feel free to join me on this journey!
